Stroke Discovery

Description

Learning how to swim with proper form starts at a young age. After your child masters swimming independently in a safe and effective way, we focus on his or her form and endurance.  The goals of the Stroke Discovery class include building endurance, strength, speed, and proficiency.  Every class we will practice refining kicking patterns, streamlining, swimming on their backs, and the fundamentals of Freestyle.

Children will learn to follow multi-step directions to coordinate arm, leg, and body movements, which will improve their motor planning abilities.  Conditioning your child’s muscles to move in the correct way is the key to developing good swimming habits that will facilitate his or her progression through all of our levels.

Safety skills are a recurring theme and are practiced at every level
